Share
Napa has super hot, sunny days in the summer months like many places, but the Valley often enjoys warm weather in spring and even fall too. And when the sun’s shining bright, what’s a better snack than delicious fruit? Whether you want to enjoy fresh, yummy flavors year-round through smoothies, locally grown exotic fruits, or pick-it-yourself family fun, there are plenty of options. Here are five great places near Napa to grab some fruit to enjoy as a snack, add to a charcuterie spread at your next gathering, or bring along on a picnic.
1. Lola’s Market (open year-round)
Although Lola’s is more of a small grocery store than a traditional farm stand, it’s definitely worth a stop to pick up some unique produce. From baby Ataulfo mangoes (sugar mangoes) to papaya, mini lady finger bananas, and soursop, there’s plenty to try!
Insider Tip: While you’re at Lola’s Market in Carneros Center, swing by Journey Coffee or P’s and Q’s Ice cream to try more local favorites!

Get the whole family involved with a trip to Larry’s U-Pick fields, which surround their regular farm market. By picking your own fruits and veggies, you can enjoy fresh produce at a discounted price—options include peaches, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, cucumbers, black-eyed peas, and even fresh flowers. And, it's fun!
Insider Tip: Visit in the fall to enjoy free corn mazes, and on weekends, hayrides and cow train rides for extra family fun. And to check out their large pumpkin patch, featuring regular, giant, and mini pumpkins.
3. The Farmacy

The Farmacy is a charming little towable trailer tucked away at 1550 Estee Ave in Napa. Their produce is reportedly grown by a Guinness World Record holder for the heaviest pumpkin! While everything is first come, first served—so selection can be limited—it’s a unique farm stand with fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables that’s definitely worth a visit.
4. Silverado Trail & Trancas St Strawberry Stand (open March-November)

While this produce stand isn’t open year-round, it typically stays open through mid-November. It was started 23 years ago by a local Napa family, who still run it today. They offer super fresh, local produce like corn, blackberries, and watermelon. Also, delicious local honey! If you stop by, don’t miss their strawberries—they’re some of the best in Napa: juicy, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. No cash? No problem! They also accept card payments, which is a nice convenience for a farm stand.

Nékter claims to us "Only the freshest produce and real superfoods, always blended fresh to order — nothing else." and it sure tastes like it. Fresh fruity snacks with tons of flavor and form options to choose from. One of my favorites is the Pink Falmingo smoothie- made with dragon fruit, strawberry, pineapple, coconut water and agave. They're a great option year-round since their hours aren't affected seasonally.

The Farmer's Market is open year-round rain or shine, and have a huge selection of local artisan goods like Napa Valley Leathercraft, farm produce like Hamlow Farms and Orozco Farms, and tasty food to grab for lunch like Mr. Dim Sum.
Local Tip: It can be hard to find parking but there's a lot tucked back near Armistice Brewing that's and is a quick walk to the market.
No matter the time of year, there’s always a good excuse to grab something fresh and fruity around Napa. Whether you’re picking it yourself, grabbing it on the go, or adding it to your next spread, you really can’t go wrong with any of these spots.
