Top 3 Places for Vintage Shopping in Napa & Sonoma
Share
If you asked me what my ideal weekend would be, I’d have a lot of activities to list, but one of them would definitely be thrift shopping. To me, it’s extra satisfying to find a piece of clothing or an accessory you really like and also know it’s one of a kind (or maybe one of a few). It’s better for the environment than shopping at a giant chain store, and you can support a local business owner in the process! Below are my top thrift stores in Napa and Sonoma so you can join in on the vintage fun too.
1. Franklin & 2nd St (Downtown Napa)

This first mention is actually a few in one. At the corner of Franklin & 2nd St sits a cluster of vintage shops, the largest and most notable of which is Antiques on Second. Multiple vendors sell a wide range of vintage items here, like Pyrex Queen Stacie Lawton, who has a shelf in the store dedicated to “antique heirlooms, vintage décor, and an extensive Pyrex selection covering the 1900s to 1970s.”
What I personally frequent the shop for is adorable vintage teacups, which I use to make homemade candles. Nostalgia of Napa is right next door—great for finding vinyl records, vintage glassware, and for saying hi to the shop dog, Gracie May. Betty’s Girl Napa is also on 2nd Street and sells unique boho-style clothing made from recycled pieces. In 2014 they also began creating custom designs for formal events like weddings and proms. Bombshell Vintage is on the Franklin side of the corner at Franklin & 2nd. It’s a great stop if you’re mostly looking for jewelry or clothing items.
2. Ghost Pony (Central Napa)

Ghost Pony on Jefferson is one of my top spots for unique vintage wardrobe staples. It has more of that classic vintage shop vibe rather than the Napa Valley–influenced aesthetic you find in some other stores. This Yelp review by Chris M. sums it up well:
“Western gear, bolo ties, boots, stacks of old Playboys, and some weird art that somehow works perfectly. They've also got a killer lineup of vintage tees and denim.”
Insider Tip: Before shopping, stop next door at Sweet Straw Tea Bar to grab a yummy drink!
3. Trove (Sonoma Square)

Sonoma also has several thrift and consignment shops worth checking out. Trove looks like a modern curated boutique when you first walk in, but they sell handpicked vintage clothing, accessories, and vinyl. Since they’re located at Sonoma’s central square, they’re surrounded by some of Sonoma’s best restaurants like The Girl & The Fig and Valley.
Honorary Mentions
Folklore (Downtown Napa)
Although Folklore is technically a bar, half of the space functions as a vinyl record shop. They offer wine and unique cocktails like the Katsu Highball (Suntory Toki Whiskey, Curry Leaf, Miso, Carbonated) and the Varanasi (Calenda Mezcal, Ohlena Turmeric, Lemongrass, Cinnamon).
Insider Tip: Go on Fridays for Buy a Bottle, Pick a Record Friday!
Napa Sonoma Supply (Downtown Napa)
Not only is the Napa Sonoma Supply store located in a gorgeous white Victorian townhouse, but we also sell new items, new pieces with a vintage feel, and a few true vintage home goods. My personal favorite is a large rustic mirror propped on a table right as you enter the store. It’s an idyllic place to spend some time browsing.
Insider Tip: Locals get 15% off!
Whether you're looking for a vintage wardrobe staple, a quirky home décor piece, or just want to spend a relaxed afternoon browsing, Napa and Sonoma have plenty of great spots to explore. Half the fun of thrifting is never knowing what you’ll stumble across—and sometimes the best finds are the ones you weren’t even looking for.
Happy treasure hunting!
