Breakfast Bliss: My Top 10 Picks for the Most Important Meal of the Day in Napa Valley
Hello fellow breakfast enthusiasts! As someone who is absolutely obsessed with going out for breakfast, I'm on a mission to try as many breakfast spots in Napa Valley as possible over the next four months. Here are my top picks (in no particular order)so far, each offering something unique and delicious to start your day. I will update this as I try new places.
1. Boon Fly Café
Boon Fly Café is a must-visit for its vibrant atmosphere and hearty breakfast options. Their famous Boon Fly donuts are a sweet treat, while the omelet is delicious the breakfast sandwich is my favorite and the bacon is like candy so go for it and order that as a side if not included.
Tip: Get there early on the weekends, it is right next to the Carneros Resort so you will be competing with the “local tourists" that are staying there.
2. Jax White Mule Diner
Jax White Mule Diner offers a classic diner experience with a modern twist. Their chicken and waffles are a standout, and the bottomless mimosas are perfect for a leisurely brunch. I can not go without ordering the tater tots, they have several versions that are all good.
Tip-If you are a coffee person, I am not a fan too bitter, but try the hot chocolate.
3. Petit Dejeuner de Soleil
For a touch of French elegance, Petit Dejeuner de Soleil is the place to be. Their croissants are buttery perfection, and the quiche Lorraine is a savory delight. This place is local. It is off the main street so a hidden gem and the breakfast is amazing. The Petit breakfast is not petite!!! Great outdoor seating.
Tip-everything is good, by far my favorite place.
4. La Cheve Bakery and Brews
La Cheve Bakery and Brews is a cozy spot for Mexican-inspired breakfast dishes. Their chilaquiles are a must-try, and their freshly baked pastries pair perfectly with their craft brews. This is your Mexican breakfast place, they have everything from burritos to Huevos rancheros and really great atmosphere. Great for brunch.

5. Lucy's Restaurant & Bar
Lucy's Restaurant & Bar offers farm-to-table freshness in every dish. Their avocado toast is topped with local ingredients, and the lemon ricotta pancakes are light and fluffy.
I really like this place if you are staying in Yountville.
Tip: Beautiful atmosphere and the artwork all around is worth the extra time spent meandering before or after your great meal. Outdoor seating is very relaxing, feels like your own backyard.
6. Café Sarafornia
Café Sarafornia is a classic diner with a friendly vibe. The basics are really covered here and the buttermilk pancakes are a crowd-pleaser. This place is right in the middle of the main drag in Calistoga. Fast, lots of food and always busy.
Tip: Come Hungry
7. Sam's Social Club
Sam's Social Club is perfect for a relaxed breakfast in a beautiful setting. Their eggs Benedict is a standout, and the breakfast pizza is a fun and tasty option. Egg in the hole was a favorite, Right down the street a bit from the hustle, bustle in Calistoga it almost feels like a private club.
Tip: Order the Churros, OMG! for the table or take "to go" for later.
8. Grace's Table
Grace's Table offers a global twist on breakfast favorites. Their Cinnamon Roll is HUGE, and they have the most brunchy type selections. I can't really pick a favorite. The restaurant has an indoor, outdoor vibe and also has outside seating located in the middle of downtown Napa .
Tip. Check out Jeffries General right next door if you are looking for a unique gift item.
9. Napa General Store Café
Napa General Store Café is a charming spot with a dog-friendly patio. Their breakfast burrito is packed with flavor, and their French toast is a must-try. I like this place for the outdoor patio but inside is fun too. If you do bring your dog you can walk along the river after you fill up with great food.
Tip: Visit the store for great local gifts
10. Café Fumé
Café Fumé is another great dog-friendly option with a beautiful outdoor seating area. Their smoked salmon bagel is a delicious choice, and their omeletes are big and delicious. They actually have a dog menu and are quick to bring out a bowl of water. I think everything here is good.
Tip: This place is in a Napa neighborhood; you are going to the right place. Great outdoor space for the whole family.
